Statement

Doris Lenz radiates enthusiasm when she talks about her pictures. Some originate as musical sounds, becoming color sounds on canvas. Strong movements from her 'inside' are banned in an impulsive painting, never coming to rest, as new questions are being answered and unexplored thought worlds waiting to be fixed in painting. Everything comes from the depth, from a searching spirit, which wants to find its own world far from the usual rules...
