Subject : Note About Scammers

Hello,
It has come to our attention that individuals are contacting artists on ARTQ.NET in attempts to run a scam. I would like to make you aware of the situation, how to identify if someone might be trying to scam you and how to handle the situation if you believe that you might be a target of one of these scams.

First a quick talk about how these scams work. In general the scammers will send you a check or a money order and ask you to send the product to them or they will want to pick up the product from you directly. When you go to cash the check or money order the bank will accept it and give you the money for the check. Unfortunately, the bank will find out later that the check is not good and will take the money back from you.

Please be aware that the majority of these types of 'too good to be true' offers are complete scams. Do not even respond to them. In the case of the massive ammount of funds that needs to be 'transferred', this is a well known scam, though there are others that are out there, so be careful of them.

Thank you much,
ARTQ.NET
