Carol Tipping - aka - Carol Ballard/ Carolyn Taylor.
Originally from Bury, Lancashire, I now live in Hoylake, Wirral, U.K.
Trained in Fine Art - Painting - Manchester, U.K.
Lectured at John Moore's University, Liverpool, UK. Wirral Metropolitan College, U.K - at the same time as painting and regularly showing work in mixed and one-man exhibitions in Liverpool. In 1989, Changed direction and studied Astrology. Worked for Radio City Gold, Liverpool for three years as their resident Astrologer. THEN - the major addition to my life was the computer!
Combining photography with my painting has finally been what I was always looking for. I like the fact that I can create anything that I want and still look for innovative ways to work with this medium.
Joining Hoylake Photographic Society in 1998 opened up a new direction for my artwork - getting involved with photography, intitially in a darkroom, has led to experimentation with paintbrush and developer, then subsequentially, the use of a computer.Through the medium of Digital Photography there has been ample opportunity to develop and to show my work . Through Hoylake Photographic Society, I have made good photo friends with whom to go taking photos, drink and generally enthuse about computers. We also joined South Liverpool digital Group and met great people there and made visits to Southport Digital group. There are some really nice photographers out there!
I gained my Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society in March 2001.
I am a practising Astrologer.
