STEVEN T. STALLSMITH

Biography
I am a 26 yr old male living in NW Pennsylvania and have always been an artist since 1st grade. Drawing had always been my media of choice and I'd dabbled in school with painting, but drawing in graphite was always my strongest suit at the time. I was HORRIBLE at mixing colors and was more accepting of my use of a pencil and comforted by the use of an eraser. However, everything has changed. Over this past summer I was watching Design Star and now host of "Color Splash", David Bromstad (HGTV) paint these pieces of art to incorporate in his overall designs of strangers' homes. People say that me and him look eerily alike. I figured one day after being completely inspired by his confident skills- If he can do it then why can't I?! I had just finished school majoring in Cosmetology and the use of the Color wheel is key in the curriculum. I went to the store, got the least I needed in terms of supplies and went at it. Behold: 45 minutes to and hour later, and I created "Honey". I posted it on facebook just so my friends could see what I was inspired to do and I sold it 2 days later. The rest is history. Cannot wait until one day they ask "What's his story?"

Statement
The most special thing about art is that no matter the media, the overall meaning of the overall feeling is completely up to the viewer! NO matter the style, whether it be cartoonish, realistic, abstract or anything inbetween and beyond,I believe I can paint in any style. Still looking for MY style, although realism seems to be most fitting for my aptitudes and way I study form.
