Biography
|
|
My story is much like that of any other artist .
I 've always created art since I can remember and while my family has recognized my talent, financial stability was a greater concern. I became a professional graphic designer and illustrator. This paid the bills and satisfied the American Dream and inside I slowly died.
After a deep breath, I went back to college and finished a BFA in sculpture. What a blast!! Performance art, public art, studio art, found art, sketchbook art, art art art. Here I am in the world outside of the lines again. I'm finding my way and I love the new story I am writing for myself.

Statement

My passion for creating art is driven by love of people and the communities they create. I am quite nomadic. My travels have taken me to New York City, Santa Fe, Taos, Memphis and New Orleans, as well as the less obvious art meccas of Paducah, KY, Wichita, KS, Cullman, AL and Racine,WI. No matter where I'm living or visiting, I am always in a state of observation, learning and reflecting. I feel my art enables me to remove boundaries of bias and seek a commonality and truth about what it means to be human.
