Biography
Nathaniel Ogunyale is an Artist, Art Historian and Educationist. He studied Fine Arts at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, (OAU) before proceeding to the University of Ibadan(UI) and Lagos State University(LASU), where he did Masters in Visual Arts and Educational Technology respectively. At the Obafemi Awolowo University, he was trained and influenced by Moyo Okediji and Bolaji Campbell in ONAISM School of Art.
 
Statement
He has come in contact with several works of indigenous African artists and contemporary artists working in diverse media which span across tie and dye/batik, terracotta, shrine paintings, mixed-media paintings and graphic designs.
 
Exhibitions
After completing his National Service in 1998, Ogunyale established and curated a mini gallery in his home at Mushin, Lagos. He has taught at various secondary schools in Nigeria, such as Igbore High School, Abeokuta, Orile-Kemta High School, Abeokuta, St Leo's College, Abeokuta, St Barnabas Secondary School, Kabba, Kogi State and Mahmud Ahmadiyya College, Ijede, Lagos. He was briefly a Lecturer at the University of Lagos Computer Centre. He currently lectures at Art and Industrial Design Department at Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu, Lagos. He has also participated in group Art Exhibition at British Council, Ibadan; "Salon Exhibition" at Oyo State Cultural Centre, Ibadan; and Exhibited Artworks for Secondary School Students during his NYSC service year in Kabba, Kogi State, for environmental awareness campaign. Some of his paintings are: "Ona mi adara" (Brighter Paths); Wonders of Creation; Erin (Laughter); Anansi and the King's ram. Etc. Nath ogunyale is a Founder and Executive Producer of Inumidun Arts and Culture, a non-profit organization for the promotion of Africa's arts and cultural heritage. He is the author and publisher of books and magazines including Knowledge Booster Continuous Assessment Book for Pre-primary Schools, Book 1 and 2; and Shoppers Digest Magazine. He also publishes on-line a blog about arts, culture and more: nathogunyale.blogspot.com.
